Rose Bowl, Pasadena
mattsanger92 (03/11/2010) The Rose Bowl, located in Pasadena (California, USA), is a 92,500-capacity, multi-purpose stadium used mainly for american football, hosting the UCLA Bruins, along with a championship game named after the stadium. In football, it has been home to club teams Los Angeles Wolves, LA Aztecs, and LA Galaxy at various points in its history, but is now restricted to exhibition matches. In internationals, aside from regular friendlies, the stadium was a key host of important matches in the 1994 FIFA World Cup, including the final between Brazil and Italy (the first to be decided on penalties), and later hosted the final of the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup, one of two stadiums to host the finals of both events (the other is the Rasunda Stadium in Sweden). |
