Duncan (09/30/2009)

Home of the The world famous special forces (SAS) who became famous worldwide after the Iranian Embassy Storming (or Operation Nimrod) in London in 1980 which was one of the first of its kind and was broadcast live all over the globe. I remember watching it on tv

Bob (01/28/2010)

i have read many books on the SAS over the years and i will be passing through Hereford next year. I understand they have moved to Credenhill. What's become of the old base at Hereford and is there any thing to see on my passing through

Dan (01/29/2010)

The less you know about where the SAS have gone the better. Dont you know its all a bit hush..hush

Taffy (03/20/2010)

Nice to see the old camp once again. I was stationed there when it was, RAF Creden Hill...

Many memories!

BS (05/14/2010)

What???, the less you know...oh dear

ryan (05/14/2010)

I am in the regiment with twenty-second and it would be better for everyone if you left us alone and stopped poking your nose in where its quite obvious your not wanted, OR ELSE WE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU ALL ABOUT US WOULDN'T WE?!

Bo (05/16/2010)

Keep your hair on Ryan. You cant stop people being curious. What you gonna do? Take us all out one by one??

ColJ (05/18/2010)

Yes Ryan of course you are !

dupe (05/26/2010)

I think Ryan has been reading too many Andy McNab books..

N/A (05/26/2010)

haha never a truer word said Dupe!!

Yes i am SAS and i announce it online....Reckon.

Doesnt surprise me good old web has basically Just announced to joe terrorist where the SAS train....well done for compromising forces again!!!

n/a (07/08/2010)

nobody who has been in calls there regiment by the numbers as you see them 22 is not twenty second or 39 in cambridge isnt thirty nine eng  its 2 2 or 3 9 or 3 2 or 2 1

cheers

Carly (07/09/2010)

Too funny. My bro is in the regiment, and we are not allowed to tell anyone, and he hasnt actually confirmed it to us that he is cos hes not allowed to tell anyone!! So Ryan, your a douche bag!!

Lee (09/30/2010)

Ryan you maggot - you maybe at Hereford but there is no doubt in my mind that you're a storeman, driver, clerk, chef or some other sleeze ball. I'm pertty sure the blokes wouldn't say things like "betterif you left us alone" and stop poking your nose in" you pathetic little idiot.

Mik (10/02/2010)
Ryan. One rule when it comes to special forces. If someone has the urge to tell you their are in them, they probably aint. Probably a chat up line used on the females no doubt eh Ryan. Also, N/A. Knowing where a storage base is and getting closeer than that storage base two very different things.
SASR-Oz (10/10/2010)

Quoting Ryan: "...where its quite obvious your not wanted..."

If we are to believe Ryan, the standards for the SAS have dropped dramatically. Last I heard, you had to have a MINIMAL education where a statement such as above would have kicked your arse right out the door. Even the cleaners at the barracks know it should be "where you're not wanted", the "you're" being a replacement for "you are". So Ryan, you wouldn't even make a CLEANER in the SAS barracks, old fruit :)

SgtMaj.......Yea Like Im Telling You (11/17/2010)

Ryan. You Are A Disgrace. All The Training And Hardship They Do And You Make Out Your Part Of The Regiment? You Disrespect Every Fine Soldier Who Has Ever Serve As SAS SBS  The lot......Take This From Someone Who Did 3 PARA For 22 Years. You My Sir Are A Cunt......Mind You You Sound Thats Twatish Youd Probaly Make A Rupert If You Was Actually A Soldier.....Oh Yes And Playing Call Of Duty : Modern Warfare Does Not Make You An SAS Soldier!

ANON.- SO30 (11/24/2010)

i agree with Ryan, if the government tried to hide something from us (the SAS/ 22reg) its for our own bloody good. and although im not discarding your comment about being in the regiment, you speaking out menas your lying or have been discharged, as it would threaten your and others life by revealing it. for example someone i know works in SOCA, which abbreviated means :Serious Organized Crime Agency, and they are a secretive home office company, so therefore im making myself anonymous for obvious reasons. IF they were known to be an agent theyd be sacked, not out of meanness, but the fact they would be compromised.

mate im 15 and i can smell bullshit a mile off, and this is a strong smell of bullshit. if you were in 22 reg you wouldnt even broadcast it on the WWW. cossack.

Withheld. (12/29/2010)

I know three serving members and none of them seem too concerned who knows it, they don't talk about it either, but they certainly don't hide it particularly. It strikes me the people making the most fuss are just wannabes and geeks. Jusayin'

Withheld (01/12/2011)

I'm ex RAF, trained at Credenhill in 1990, later in my career I had the honour to work along with M60 and later still, was unfortunate enough to meet a Staff Sgt frm 22 Reg in Colchester (he was staff not inmate) none of these fine military personnel would post such shite on a website. so, inkeeping with the SgtMaj 3 Para..  F*** off Ryan, you cock!

http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/archive/index.php/t-69989.html apparently they even had an open day in 2000 !

Respect to all Special and Elite Forces and all their support staff.

hongkongfuei (01/15/2011)

well all i can say is , Lee not all chefs are sleaze balls, no matter who you served with by the way theres more than one reg with 22

jrr1975 (01/19/2011)

Deep respect for the SAS and keep up the good work lads x

Dmitry Medvedev (01/25/2011)

It's Your fault!!!!

Bondubill (02/09/2011)

I was stationed at RAF Hereford three times on various courses while in the RAF. Long before the gentlemen of the SAS took over the station. What I have always wondered is. Did they keep the names of the barrack blocks the same as when the RAF were there ? They were all named after RAF VC winners. Or have they more pressing things on their agenda to keep busy with ? As for the comments of the chap above ? Nuff said..........

Keith 10284 (03/01/2011)

The SAS are an elite covert ops unit and serving members would NEVER advertise who they are. That's the golden rule. Announcing their identity puts them and their colleagues at an unnecessary risk so anyone saying they are in the SAS are either stark raving mad or irretrievably stupid. And none of the latter would make it into the regiment full stop. The SAS are the best in the world and know they don't need to tell everyone because they know outright they're the best. That's why so many countries have used the SAS as a basis for their own special forces.

ken walsh (03/01/2011)

hi am ken walsh i would like to thank the brave sas crew who landed at 103A oil camp in libya and reccued me and other national. they took a great rish in flying over libyan airspace to rescue us. thanks for ur bravery much appreciated, thanks ken

24 (03/14/2011)

why do people talk about the regiment on a stupid site like this? it makes me wonder why there are so many unstable people on the internet the dreamers and the walter mittys its a shame and really we pity you.

Boots (03/14/2011)

Hey 24, or are you a wannabe JAck Bauer?? Im glad we have your pity and your welcome to leave this stupid site and go play cowboys and indians in your back yard. If you are allowed back, try to add something constructive next time.

J (03/20/2011)

Bondubill, I was housed in Gibson block on my 3 visits to RAF Hereford, I'm told now it's one of the Sqn HQs, no idea if its kept the old name.

This location is NOT in Somerset - it is in Herefordshire

Sprogg (04/16/2011)

Bondubill - I too have wondered whther the RAF Blocks are still named after the R.A.F VC winners.

I spend 12 months with Nicholson block as my home as an Raf Apprentice - arriving there as a 15 year old

in 1970. These days I tell people that I trained at Hereford - need I say more :)

G (06/16/2011)

the sas - the whores of the british empire

Ian (06/20/2011)

What is it with these SAS wanabees? They are Walter Mitty-type fantasists that must have very low self-esteem to claim they were members of the Special Air Service. No-one is ever going to believe them anyway. They make themselves look and sound ridiculous.

Those that actually were in the SAS rarely ever talk about their service with the regiment. That's one of the reasons they were picked in the first place. So please anyone claiming to be a member please stop, wake-up, smell the coffee and quickly get a life.

Borneo and Aden Vet (09/03/2011)

I would hazard a guess that the SAS these tossers are talking about are the "Saturdays And Sundays" Their mummies call it the TA!

Dave Freestone (09/14/2011)

To Ken Walsh

I'd just like to ask....what 'risk'?

As far as i was aware, the Libyan Air Force is grounded. If it did ever fly, it would be shot down by the UN fighters, they wouldn't even have a chance.

To Ryan

IF you were in 22 SAS, you wouldn't be allowed to brag about it, would you....twat?

That would be a breach of the Official Secrets Act, which is why photos of the SAS online or in books have their faces blanked out for security?
