Lotte World was opened in 1989 in Seoul.  The massive recreation complex contains:

  • large indoor theme park
  • outdoor amusement park
  • island (linked by monorail)
  • shopping
  • hotels
  • Korean folk museum
  • sports facilities
  • movie theatres in one area.

The indoor theme park is the largest in the world and is 7th in the world for attendence (based on a 2002 survey).
