The Guus Hiddink Stadium in Gwangju, South Korea, is a 44,000-capacity football stadium that is home to local team Gwangju Sangmu Phoenix. It was originally known as the Gwangju World Cup Stadium, as South Korea co-hosted the 2002 FIFA World Cup with Japan, but was renamed in honour of the then South Korea national team coach, who guided the unfancied side all the way to the semi-finals.
