Geoglyphs of Tiliviche

A herd of llamas facing the ocean etched into a hillside in Chiles Atacama Desert.One of many ancient Incan geoglyphs, they are believed to have been used as a landmark for the llama caravans coming down from the mountains. Created by placing darker rocks across the lighter sand, there are many geoglyphs of animals, humans and birds. These figures were constructed on hills so they can be viewed from ground level
