Estadio Olimpico Joao Havelange, Rio de Janeiro

The Estadio Olimpico Joao Havelange, in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), is a sports stadium that is used for football and athletics, with a capacity of 45,000. It has been the home of local football team Botafogo since it was built in 2007. In major events, the venue hosted matches during the men's and the women's football tournaments of the 2007 Pan American Games, and will host all athletics events during the 2016 Summer Olympics, for which the capacity of the stadium will be increased to 60,000.
