mattsanger92 (02/25/2010) The Estadio Hernando Siles, in La Paz, Bolivia, is a 42,000-capacity football stadium that is the home of the Bolivian national team, along with local clubs Club Bolivar, The Strongest, and La Paz FC. It also held the final of the 1997 Copa America. The stadium is most famous for the altitude at which it is based (3,637 meters above sea level), and is said to be the primary factor for famous Bolivian victories over South American giants Brazil and Argentina, including a 6-1 thumping over the latter in 2009. |
