Estadio Azteca, Mexico City
mattsanger92 (10/06/2009) The Estadio Azteca is a football stadium in Mexico City. With a capacity of 105,000, it is one of the largest stadiums in the world, and has a primary purpose of hosting the Mexican national team, along with local club side Club America, with other Mexico City-based teams using the ground on occasion over time. Completed in 1966, the Azteca has seen many important international matches, including the infamous World Cup Quarter-Final between England and Argentina, in which Diego Maradona scored his 'hand of god' goal. As of 2009, the Azteca holds the distinction of being the only stadium to host two FIFA World Cup Finals (1970 & 1986). bel (10/07/2009)
