Proper Installation of a Subwoofer in a Car
If you are stuck in the traffic madness you can do well with some music, whether doing some job with some background music or if you are relaxing on your sofa set music completes life. Since you have music in your car, it is not time to improve it with high tech subwoofers for the eventual experience. Checking out these subwoofers, and making a selection on what is suitable with your budget and needs now you can get it installed. You can go ahead and contract someone to do it for you, but you can also do it with these six simple steps.
To start with you need to ensure that you have all that is needed such as these subwoofers, a subwoofer box, amplifier kit, and the amp and some tape. Start by ensuring that these subwoofers box is designed specifically for the speakers and the that amp you have selected is compatible with the speakers. Make space for the power wire to pass by getting an opening through the firewall which can be done by going under the dash to ensure you get the power line ready. In almost all kits, the thickness of the power wire should be 8 to 0 mms. It is time to get a fuse near the connector that will go right in the battery and get one close the battery but do not connect it for now.
Now pull out the dash and the player head unit and using the tape, attach the remote wire with the RCA cable and adjoin it below the dash on the right side of the passenger to the player position. You are now at liberty to decide if to connect the remote or the straight wire or the wiring harness to the wire that corresponds the player with the RCA cables. Now let us go back to where the amp was mounted. You need to run the wires into where the amp will be placed. It is suggested that for safety the wires should be run on the passenger side down.
Now lift the carpet near the amp and obtain a good metal space on the body of the car to the lay the wire. You may have to add some paint to get a strong position in case you don’t get a good position. Connect the amp with the speaker wire after placing these subwoofers in the car. Where the battery cable is at, hold the fuse using either a hose in the engine compartment and attach the battery cable to the positive side of the battery. Prior to reassembling, test these subwoofers and ensure everything is properly connected and if all is in order reassemble the dash and enjoy the fine tunes in your car.
